Abhay Patil and Anil Benake MLA from Belagavi south and north receptively held a joint press meet on Thursday and said that, the tenders issued do not have any clause which provides a guarantee of the road for a certain period. This is only because the authorities concerned know that the road will be made of poor quality, for which he can’t give a guarantee.
Mahadwar road which was asphalted not even a month ago is in bad shape.
Anil Benake alleged that just before the elections many works were awarded and even completed in a hurry.
The MLA’s said that an inquiry must be done in this regard and would write to the CM and urban development ministry.
