One held for tweeting to blast mosque
Syed Saffruddin, 45 was arrested by Bengaluru police arrested who is a textile merchant on the charge of threatening to blast a mosque through a tweet, in Belagavi on Friday.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Syed Saffruddin, had allegedly gone into hiding fearing arrest. He is stated to have moved between Chennai, Kerala and Belagavi since the police registered a case on July 13. He was arrested from Sadashiv Nagar in Belagavi city, where he had rented a house over a fortnight ago. The local police are unaware of the incident.
