150 crore needed from Defense ministry for Sambra airport development
The Belgaum-Sambra airport runway expansion project needs about 150 crore contribution from the ministry of defense and for the faster disbursal. MoS Civial Aviation G. M. Siddeshwara took a review meeting at Sambra airport today.
Minister said he would personally meet Defense minister Arun Jaitley and ask him to release the money on priority.
A meeting with the forest officials was also conducted as the project requires clearance from the forest department. About 180 electric poles will have to be shifted and the same has been informed to HESCOM, the minister said speaking to press persons.
