Master plan committee to be set up
In the maiden general body meeting of the Belgaum city corporation, it was decided that a Master Plan committee would be set up which will look into the road widening of the 5 odd roads earmarked for widening.

Discussing the reimbursement issue for the shop and house owners of the road widening the use of TDR was also discussed and MLA Sait also proposed the construction of new shops on Corporation land for the ones who lose their property.
It was also decided that the committee will speak to all the stakeholders who will loose their property. Already Rs.16 crores have been alloted for the widening and 2.5 crores set aside for reconstruction of shops.
