With no one to ask-Citizens being looted by Parking contractors
Belgaum city has only TWO Authorized Parking lots in the city corporation limits where a parking fee is collected. They are the Bapat Galli car parking and the Angol Naka opposite Big Bazar.
The parking fees for both the parking lots is the same; Rs.5 for two wheelers and Rs.10 for Four wheelers for a duration of THREE hours.
We have again and again raised this issue but with no success.
See this latest example of citizen Vijay Bhagwat parking at Angol Naka opposite Big Bazar. The receipt has no mention of the contractor nor the amount. The Order passed on August 12-08-2013 specifically says Rs.10 for 3 hours for car parking and Rs.5 for two wheeler.

But no boards with specific parking fee is mentioned which has to be done as per law. But when the people incharge of the enforcement are not interested then what should be done.
The citizens must ask this question to themselves. If by law one is supposed to pay a fee it must be the prescribed amount, and not in excess of it.
We know nothing is going to happen by reading this, but you citizens must ask the contractor the order copy and fee as per law he must have this mentioned at that parking slot.
