Foundation ceremony of new IT building postponed
The proposed foundation stone laying function of the new Income tax building near the fort which was scheduled to be held at 8.30 AM on February 9, 2014 has been postponed. Sources close to the department said this.
The postponement was done after the receipt of a communication from New Delhi and new dates would be notified later.
Sources have also informed that MP Suresh Angadi has spoken to Union Minister of State for Finance Seelam, who was supposed to come for the ceremony to postpone the function as there have been protests against the same.
It may be recalled that there were memorandums given against the constructing of this building near the ancient fort by Sri Ram Sena and AAP yesterday. Today Activists of Ram sena were even taken into custody as they tried to stall the work on the site.
