The Belagavi Smart city limited has floated 6 separate tenders amounting to Rs. 61,16,42,985 for the conversion of LT over head lines by LT (Low Tension) under ground cable.
Currently in various parts of the city HESCOM has under taken the conversion of HT over head lines by HT(High Tension) under ground cable.
Areas where the conversion will take place:
Dr. Spm Road & Lal Bahadhur Shastri Nagar Area
Shukrawar Peth Road & Mahatma Phule Road
3rd Railway Gate To 1st Railway Gate Area
Maratha Colony and Nanavadi Area
Shanti Nagar and Shivaji Colony Area
Chennamma Nagar and Tilakwadi Area
Already tenders have been approved for the following areas –
Mahantesh nagar area
Anjaneya nagar area
Srinagar area
Approximately for an area, a sum of Rs. 6 – 7 crores is allocated per area.
