Step motherly treatment by NWKRTC Old 7 buses sent to Belagavi
Under the JnNURM scheme Belagavi depot was allocated 50 MINI BUSes
43 were delivered by January 2017
Balance 7 buses were sent but all Second hand used in Hubballi Dharwad
Belagavi which has got it self the Smart City Tag but are we getting all that we have to? See this for instance, under the JnNURM scheme Belagavi was allocated 50 new buses and Belagavi depot got delivery of 43 buses from May to January 2017. The balance 7 NEW buses due for Belagavi depot never reached here and we were allocated 7 old buses used earlier in Hubballi Dharwad.
Out of the 7 old buses received here which are already plying on different routes in Belagavi Two buses are of Hubballi division and 5 are from Dharwad division.
One bus KA25 F3229 of Hubballi division currently on the Hunchanhatti route is the second trial bus provided to NWKRTC couple of years ago. Another bus form the Hubballi division is KA25 F3196 is the first trial bus.
The other buses have completed about a lakh kms running and have numbers KA25 F 3250 to 3254 from the Dharwad division.
NWKRTC fans said who have a Whatsapp and Facebook groups have asked that Officials why old buses were sent to Belagavi when funds are allocated for new.
Hubballi Dharwad division got 120 new buses under the JnNURM scheme for BRTS Feeder service (Jan sampark Nagar Sarige, Green Livery ) but the officials are currently using them as city buses in Hubballi Dharwad.
So the question arises why this Step motherly treatment by NWKRTC towards Belagavi. When Belagavi was allocated 50 new buses we should have got 50 new buses, but we got 43 new buses and 7 used buses which is totally unfair as per the NWKRTC fans.
