26 people detained includes 2 councillors – Stone pelting
After the mid night chaos caused at Shetti Galli corner allegedly over a flag and then which was followed by stone pelting in Jalgar Galli, Bhadkal Galli, Chavat Galli, Khanjar Galli and some adjoining areas, today the police have detained about 26 people including 2 councillors.
The police sprung into action immediately and got the situation under control.
The situation currently is normal and the tension has eased a bit.
Commissioner of Police Krishan Bhatta visited the above areas and took stock of the situation.
