No Holiday declared due to bandh
On September 9 Karnataka bandh over the Cauvery waters issue has been called by various Pro-Kannada organisations and farmer unions organizations in the state. The Bandh is called to raise their voice against the recent directive by Supreme Court pertaining to the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
The Belagavi Bar Association has given its support for the Bandh call and hence all court proceedings will be boycotted as per the press release from the Association.
