Aequs to supply critical parts for or Airbus A320neo in Belagavi SEZ
Aequs Aerospace is to supply over 100,000 titanium machined parts for the A320neo (new engine option) program. These parts will be used to mount engines on the wings of Airbus’ A320neo aircraft over the next few years, which will be manufactured at its 1 lakh sqft Hattargi, (Belagavi) plant.
The deal marks a first for an Indian company to be awarded a contract for the manufacture of critical components for AirBus.
The Hattargi Aequs campus is being used to exclusively build components for the Airbus group and is housed in Aequs’ 250 acre campus will employ 1,000 skilled personnel.
Setup in 2009, the special economic zone in Belagavi, which is now India’s largest integrated aerospace facility in Belagavi.
