PWD calls for DPR of flyover/underpass at 4 locations in Belagavi
Take it as good news or otherwise, the PWD has called tenders for consultancy services for construction of flyovers at 4 different locations in Belagavi.
- Construction of flyover/underpass at Rani Channamma circle
- Construction of flyover at Ashoka circle (Killa)

Construction of flyover at Dharmveer Sambhaji Circle (Bogarves)
- Construction of flyover at Krishnadevaraya circle (Kolhapur Cross)
Construction of flyover/underpass at Rani Channamma circle
The Project roads under consideration passes through Channamma circle. Project road is part of Raichur-Bachi road (SH-20) and Th deviates to Panaji-Belagavi road(NH-4A),from Civil hospital to Khade Bazar also deviates to Hindalaga road.
Project road passes through heavily built up area. Right of way varies from 30m to 35m throughout Existing road is 4 lane divided carriageway. Bus and LCV type of traffic is dominating in this section. Due to heavy flow of mixed traffic in Channamma circle and, many traffic jams occurs causing inconvenience to road users, delay and fatal accidents leading to death of road users.
The DPR Report shall also include a pre-DPR study for other alternatives to flyover for smooth flow of traffic.
Construction Of Flyover At Ashok Circle
The Project road under consideration starts at NH-4 Junction .Project road is part of Raichur-Bachi road (SH-20) from NH-4 junction to Ashoka circle from there project road deviates on Khade bazaar road passing through circuit house ending at CBT.Project road passes through four junctions namely Gandhinagar junction, Mahantesh nagar junction, Ashoka circle junction and vegetable market Junction. Very high density of mixed traffic flows hrough the project area.

The Project roads under consideration passes through BogarVes circle. Project road is part of Belagavi-Panaji road(NH4A). The project road passes through Camp road and Kirloskar road.
Project road passes through heavily built up area. Right of way varies from 30m to 35m throughout .Existing road is 4 lane divided carriageway. Bus and LCV type of traffic is dominating in this section. Due to heavy flow of mixed traffic in Bogarves circle and, many traffic jams occurs causing inconvenience to road users, delay and fatal accidents leading to death of road users.
Construction of flyover at Krishnadevaraya circle (Kolhapur Cross)
The Project roads under consideration passes through Krishna Devararay circle. Project road is part of Belagavi-Kakati ways road and deviates to Central Bus Terminal(CBT).Below Figure 1 shows key plan of Project .

After the detailed proposals are given the exact cost and exact position of the Flyover will be clear. It is assumed to build these flyovers from a Special fund from the state.
