KLS GIT bags laurels in INDIAN KARTING LEAGUE
The team “SUPERSONIC RACERS GIT” from Department of Mechanical Engineering of KLS GOGTE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY had recently participated in a national level go kart championship competition called “INDIAN KARTING LEAGUE” organized.
As many as 54 Teams from different states from all over India participated in this event, teams were subjected to through several technical tests and the eliminations were carried out based on the quality and performance of the kart. The race was carried out in the league format by the FMSCI (federation of motorsports clubs of India) team. The team “SUPERSONIC RACERS GIT” has bagged Second position in the competition. It is for the first time that among any engineering colleges located in and around Belagavi, GIT team is the only team which has fabricated a go kart for a racing competition. GIT provided complete financial support for this project; Dr. Shrinivas Gombi guided the students.
