Two new Ganesh idol Immersion tanks
In the council meeting of the Belagavi city corporation it was approved to construct TWO new tanks for immersion of Ganesh idols one near Jakkeri Honda and one more at Nazar Camp.
A sum of Rs.1.25 crores have been earmarked for the same.
The new tank at Jakkeri Honda which already has one tank will be built on the land of the corporation and it will aimed that the tanks will be utilised for swimming as well the whole year round.
These new two tanks have been planned as taking the Ganesh idols from the regular Kapileshwar route will not be possible as taking Big idols over the railway over bridge is not safe and even it would be very difficult for the idols to be turned.
