Cantonment CEO promises to look into infrastructure developments in the area
The Presidents Council, Chamber Of Commerce,Belgaum had a meeting with Shri. Harsha E.H. Chief Executive Officer,Belgaum Cantonment Board and discussed various matters regarding to infrastructure development within the Cantonment area.
With regards to the lack of facilities at the Bus Terminal opposite Railway Station, CEO promised that he would commence work of the development of the same and would provide all necessary facilities.
The Presidents Council informed the CEO that already the NWKRTC has shown interest in increasing the trips from the said bus terminal to the rural areas and also that NWKRTC can operate city bus service in the Camp areas. Currently no city bus service is in existence except that the city bus stop opposite the Cantonment board office.
With regards to the historic Fort, CEO promised to give it a face lift and clean the walls and ramparts of the fort. He also said that he would take forward the earlier proposal of boating in the moat of the fort.
The Queens garden once a major tourist spot is now in dire straits since about 2 years. The CEO has promised to look into the same and redevelop the same and get back its old glory.
