National Award to Vaijayanti Chougala
The Government of India, Ministry of Women & Child Development, New Delhi has awarded Mrs.Vaijayanti.Chougala, Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award for the year 2015-16 for her service rendered in the field of welfare of children. 
Mrs.Chougala from last 4 decades through the Women’s Welfare Society is implementing innumerable programmes for needy children. She has been working for the over all development of children like, “ Mamata” Fit institution for orphanages , Ujjwala Rehabilitation centre for trafficking children, Shelter home for Rag pickers, Creche units for poor working & ailing mothers, Prevention of Child Marraiges, Awareness programmes on child trafficking , Environment Awareness, Welfare of disables, , Reproduction & Child Health, Children festivals, Consumer Clubs at school, Child Right protection and many more are appreciable. She is also served as Chairman of District Child Welfare Committee, Principal of Maheshwari Blind School. The said award will be presented by the President of India on 14th November-2015 at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. The Award Carries Cash Prize of Rs.1 lakh, a certificate and a citation.
