Shops closed in main market area
Karnataka Bandh call given by various farmers’ organization on Saturday saw most of commercial establishments in the main market shut after the bandh call.
The bandh demanded the state and union governments to implement Kalasa-Banduri project.
A protest rally was taken and culminated at the DC office and workers of various organizations in the leadership of Siddaram Swami of Naganur Rudrakshimath participated.
Even when the main city market was closed very less impact was visible in Camp, Tilakwadi etc.
the NWKRTC did not operate its buses and very less number of autos were seen on the road.
Miscreants pelted stones on Goa passing car heading towards Goa near VTU sources said.
Shops are likely to be opened after 4 pm.
