Work on 6 laning of Kahanapur Road begins
The work on the 6 laning of the Kahanapur Road widening from Mahveer Bhavan to Peeranwadi was officially begun today in the presence of Minister Satish Jarkhiholi and Maoyr Kiran Saynak.
The 14 properties which have a stay would let off and the work would be undertaken sources said.
A total of Rs.46 Crore has been allocated for this.
Details of the Project as per the tender floated in 2012 –
The new road would consist 3 tracks, a parking lane and a footpath with a central median. There would be lighting at the central median and also footpath.
The tender is an estimate for 6-lane Carriageway including Parking lane, Construction of Central Median, Footpath & Storm Water Drain, Shifting of water supply lines and Shifting of HT/LT lines including HESCOM deposit.
The Gutter work would be commenced currently.
But the Third Railway gate will not be widened as it is the Railways prerogative.
