Goa to tax vehicles from neighboring districts from June 1
The Govt of Goa will tax private vehicles entering Goa with border districts’ registration. It had previously exempted entry tax for private vehicles from border towns and taluks of Belagavi and Uttara Kannada. 
Heavy vehicles – Rs 1,000
Six-wheelers- Rs 500
Light motor vehicles (four-wheelers) – Rs 250
The tax which has been imposed a couple of years ago had an exemption for vehicles with border districts’ registration, but from June 1 all vehicles will have to pay the tax.
