Nasscom recommends Belagavi to its list of key locations for BPO
The National Association of Software and Services Companies, or Nasscom, recently presented a recommendation to the Govt. which would help to frame guidelines to promote BPO operations beyond large cities.
Nasscom has sought key policy changes to encourage expansion of the country’s multi-billion dollar business process outsourcing (BPO) industry to non-metro locations.
It has identified 18-20 more locations in the country where there is infrastructure for employment. These locations include Agartala, Belagavi, Chhindwara, Hazira, Karnal, Shivamogga, Srinagar and Vellore.
