The city is getting a clean face from the encroachments on Govt land Thanks to our very own city corporation commissioner M R Ravikumar.
After the High Court had ordered what action was taken on the encroachments on Govt land Commissioner has now for the past 5 days been on a Demolition Drive all over the city.
From the small sanitary lanes to the big encroachments he is removing all of them.
The 42 year old KAS officer who is known for his dashing and unbiased action is from Kolar and took charge as Commissioner of City Corporation from 14/11/2013.
The first year of his tenure was quite normal but his second year in office he has been proactive. And it is

that he is ready to take on anyone even the elected representatives. Recently he took a Two wheeler and surveyed a road which has allegedly been encroached by an elected representative. However people still are not sure if he will take the bulldozer on that property as well.
But he has been the demolition man for the city of Belgaum/Belagavi and we had not seen anyone doing it in the manner he is doing day in and day out.
He is demolishing and also taking charge of land which was alloted but nothing has been built as per the norms and even spaces where the lease period was over.
